In order to expand our team in Freiburg (Germany), we are now looking for a talented
Controller (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Assist in the development and monitoring of company budgets, providing insights and recommendations for cost optimization
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and collections
- Conduct financial analysis and planing to support business decisions, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with tax filings. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and adapt financial processes accordingly
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, implement best practices, and enhance efficiency
Your profile:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Three or more years of experience in finance, controlling, accounting or a similar role
- Familiarity with FP&A tools and standard accounting software. Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic tech environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs
- Knowledge of German accounting and tax regulations is essential. Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS) is a bonus
- Full fluency in both German and English
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with colleagues from different departments
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance
- Proactive in identifying financial issues and proposing solutions to mitigate risks
